In a gesture of good faith, the Government of Barbados is offering a rebate to travellers staying in approved accommodation, whose second COVID19 PCR test results took longer than three days to be processed between the period December 24, 2020 and February 28, 2021.

The rebate application process is as follows:

• Please settle your hotel bills and then submit the below application form providing all relevant supporting documents.
• You will receive an email acknowledgement of your application within 24 hours.
• Your claim will be reviewed by the Government of Barbados, in discussion with the accommodation provider.
• A representative from destination Barbados will contact you via email with an update on the status of your claim within 30 days.

Please note that in some cases, accommodation costs are indeterminate due to being bundled, for example all-inclusive packages and holiday bundles.

The below daily rebate rates have been devised for the calculation of each application. Accommodation bill/folio submissions will be used to validate dates only; and accommodation rebates will be capped in accordance with the following payment schedules:

Please note that there will be only allowed one applicant rebate per hotel room.

Other approved accommodation (excluding Villas) … USD $ 100 per night

(N.B. Please note that the offer does not extend to villa stays.)

Eligibility Criteria

Travellers to Barbados during the 24 December, 2020 - 28 February, 2021 period who stayed at an approved quarantine hotel and where the COVID-19 PCR test result took more than 3 days to be returned

NB: COVID-19 results are considered delayed if returned after a 72 hour/3 day period. Rebate will be issued per room and not per person.

REBATE AGREEMENT TERMS  

IN CONSIDERATION of any sums received by me under this offer from THE GOVERNMENT OF BARBADOS and indicated by my below electronic indication of my acceptance of the terms and conditions of this offer; I DO HEREBY ACQUIT RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE the said GOVERNMENT OF BARBADOS its Successors and Assigns of and from all claims, demands, actions or suits at law of whatsoever kind or nature and confirm that I will take no action against The Government Of Barbados or its representatives in the form of legal, verbal, electronic, social, or print media which portrays such in negative light, which I now have or may at any time hereafter have against the said GOVERNMENT OF BARBADOS its Successors and Assigns in respect of any loss sustained during my stay in the country of Barbados during the dates between 24th December, 2020 and 28th February 2021 as a result of the exigencies of the COVID-19 pandemic. THIS RELEASE is to be a full discharge of all losses sustained or that may hereafter be suffered by me by reason of the aforesaid circumstances.
